Our plastics are made from brown seaweed - one of the most renewable resources from nature.

Brown seaweed grows fast - up to 1m per day, and does not require the addition of feed, freshwater or fertiliser. Moreover, there is no waste from marine plants.

To avoid over-harvesting natural resources, we build our seaweed farms in spaces consisting of forty hectares of water and four hectares of land. The young algae will be transferred from land-based hatcheries to the water to mature.

The mature seaweed will be hand-harvested by skilful Tasmania farmers and put into the KP2 machine for processing in 48 hours. Plastics made by KP2 are transparent, colourless and highly elastic.
