STRATEGIC COMMUNICATOR

Are you a creative and strategic leader who also possesses the gift of the gab?

If so, we want you to build and drive our Communications strategy. As part of the senior leadership team at Kelpics, you will work closely with our Communications Director and Specialists to deliver the highest quality and effective PR services.

Working at our world class facility in Lake Macquarie, the role is responsible for providing strategic oversight of all communication plans and activities, building and maintaining strong relationships with the media and your team and attending and contributing to various executive meetings.

Duties will include writing media releases, coaching leadership team and employees to develop communication capabilities for interacting with press and a diverse range of stakeholders.

About You

You are a lifelong learner who has a finger on the pulse of industry trends.

As a natural change leader, you will have at least 5 years experience in a senior management role, be passionate about mentoring a team of dynamic communications specialists and be able to adapt and respond to a variety of situations in a fast paced media environment.

What we’re looking for

A passion to work for a global leader in the fight against single use plastics
An academic background or previous experience within a Scientific Institution is highly regarded
A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
Demonstrated corporate storytelling experience in a variety of media
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
